1. How do I get started?
A. You can start by stopping by or calling our Physicians Weight Loss Center in Orlando (Dr. Phillips area 407-313-0070) and schedule your free consultation. You may also contact us by e mail to schedule an appointment. During the near 60 minute long consultation, we will review your medical history and lifestyle information, determine your healthy weight goal, and give you specific recommendations on the program that will work best for you!
2. How much weight can I expect to lose on your program?
A. It all depends on how much weight you need to lose and the program chosen. You can expect to lose between 2 to 4 pounds per week as long as you adhere to the diet program guidelines and requirements. Many of our patients have lost 20 pounds, 30 pounds, 40 pound, 50 pounds, 60 pounds or more.

A. The program used will depend on each individual unique situation and lifestyle. There are several factors that help us determine which program is the best fit for you, including: 1. 4. What does it mean to be medically supervised?
A. Our Physicians WEIGHT LOSS Centers® have board-certified physicians and nurses on staff and in the centers, which means you can take comfort in knowing that your weight loss is safe and effective. Your health improvements will be measured not only by the pounds you lose, but also by the improvements in your blood cholesterol, blood glucose levels, blood pressure, and overall health.
5. Are the weight loss programs safe and medically sound?
A. Yes, our weight loss programs are designed by board-certified physicians and registered dieticians. Each center is staffed with physicians and nurses, as well as certified weight loss counselors. Since 1979 Physicians Weight Loss Centers have been working alongside the local medical community to promote healthy living.
6. Will I be able to maintain the weight loss once I reach my goal?
A. The answer to this question may depend on you. However, to be on the safe side, we recommend that you purchase a maintenance plan at a very affordable price that will help you keep the weight off and maintain healthy weight.
7. How often do I weigh in?
A. It is recommended that you visit the center at least one time per week but more and as often as you like. Appointments are not necessary; you weigh in at times that are convenient for your schedule.
8. What kinds of food can you eat while on your programs?
A. Our weight loss programs include a healthy combination of fresh, wholesome foods, including lean meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy, starches, and fats. You can buy food from the grocery store and eat out in restaurants.
9. Do you offer menus for vegetarians?
A. Yes, we offer vegetarian options.
10. Will I be able to follow your program when I travel?
A. Yes. Our programs include foods that you will find in restaurants or anywhere away from home. Furthermore, the programs offer the flexibility of using meal replacement including shakes and bars or pre-packaged meals if necessary for added convenience while traveling. Many of our clients travel extensively but continue to lose weight.
11. Do I have to exercise?
A. Exercise is not required during any of our weight loss programs and there are no specific exercise activities that are required. However, barring any physical limitations, moderate amount of exercise, especially brisk walking can enhance your weight loss progress and improves overall health and well-being. Most exercise activities that you maybe accustomed can be continued during the programs with the possibility of some modifications, if necessary.
12. Do I have to count calories?
A. No; it is not necessary.
13. Do I have to take daily pills?
A. Our programs are based on healthy eating designed around real foods choises that you can buy from the grocery shelves. Additionally, our programs provide for high-quality multi-vitamin and essential minerals together with B-12 injections. Fat burning energy boosting Liportropic injections (Lipo) and hCG injections are included in many of our programs and will be discussed during consultations.
14. Am I under any obligation during my initial consultation?
A. No. The consultation is a free, no-obligation visit to provide you with information on Physicians WEIGHT LOSS centers' programs.
